Innovation workshops
Your team knows the problem. This process gets you to a solution.
Intensive, facilitated sessions using Creative Problem Solving methodology, custom-designed around your specific challenge, team, and organizational context.
WHat makes these different
This isn't traditional brainstorming
Intensive, facilitated sessions using Creative Problem Solving methodology, custom-designed around your specific challenge, team, and organizational context.
Structured Process, Not Chaos
We all approach problems differently. When a group works without a shared process, those differences create noise. When they work within a structured methodology, those differences become an asset. CPS gives every participant a common framework without flattening individual contribution.
Real Problems, Real Solutions
These aren't hypothetical exercises. Your team works on the actual challenges that matter right now. The solutions that come out of the room are yours, developed by the people who understand the context and will carry them forward.
Your Team Does The Thinking
We facilitate. Your team does the work. A solution developed by the people responsible for implementing it has ownership and momentum behind it. Solutions developed by outside "experts" rarely do.
The CPS Methodology
How innovation workshops work
Most workshop follow all the four-stage Creative Problem Solving framework, adapted to your specific challenge and team. The stages aren't rigid, they're a disciplined way of making sure you're solving the right problem before you commit to a solution. Some interventions don't start with Clarification. For example, if you already have the problem clarified and are in need of new and novel solutions, we will start there.
Clarify
Define the right problem before solving it. Explore challenges from multiple angles to craft focused, solvable problem statements. Groups who skip this stage will end up with a great solution, to the wrong problem.
Ideate
Generate diverse possibilities without judgment. Structured techniques produce more ideas, and more useful ideas, than unstructured brainstorming. Quantity enables quality.
Develop
Strengthen promising concepts into workable solutions. Add implementation feasibility while preserving the creative core that made the idea worth pursuing.
Implement
Create concrete action plans with clear ownership, timelines, and accountability structures. Leave the room knowing not just what to do, but who is doing it and when.
TEam Composition
Building the Right Team
The quality of your workshop outcomes depends heavily on who's in the room. Here's how we think about participant selection:
Essential
Participants
Participants
- Decision-makers who can commit resources and remove obstacles
- Subject matter experts who deeply understand the challenge context
- Implementation owners who will carry solutions forward
- Diverse perspectives from different functions and levels
Consider
Including
Including
- Customers or end-users for experience design challenges
- Cross-functional partners whose buy-in is critical
- Emerging leaders who benefit from methodology exposure
Cognitive Diversity Matters
The best workshops include people who think differently. Mixing analytical and intuitive thinkers, implementers and ideators, creates productive friction. We can help you assess and interpret that diversity before the session begins.
Assessments as a Pre-Workshop Tool
Individual thinking style assessments (VIEW, FourSight, or KAI) before a workshop give participants self-awareness about their cognitive preferences, empathy for the thinking styles of others, and give facilitators a clear picture of the group. Participants engage differently when they understand how they and their colleagues naturally approach problems. This step is optional but consistently improves session outcomes.
Flexible Formats
Choose your workshop format
We design each engagement to match your team's location, preferences, and the uniqueness of your challenge.
In-Person
Best for complex challenges and relationship building
Experienced facilitators at your location with all materials, visual tools, and documentation support included.
Virtual
Best for distributed teams and focused sessions
Expert virtual facilitation using TheStudio (Our virtual platform) for visual collaboration. Digital collaboration platform setup, real-time documentation, and pre-workshop technical support ensure seamless remote engagement.
Hybrid
Best for teams with regional clusters
Designed facilitation ensuring remote participants are full contributors, not observers. Careful logistics and platform selection are built into the design.
